Cash or Check: You can make a cash donation by simply writing a check or charge on your credit card. If you choose to write us a check please make checks payable to The Sisters of Our Lady of Sorrows
Securities: You may receive a charitable tax deduction when you donate stocks,bonds, or other securities based on the value of the securities at the time you make a donation. You may alos avoid long-term capital gains on the appreciated value of the securities.
Stock: A donor can reduce or eliminate capital gains taxes through a gift of appreciated securities. Please complete and mail or fax 1-318-443-0994 a “Letter of Intent” which includes your name, address, and phone number to make us aware of your intentions. We will then provide you with the necessary tax documentation and information you will need to provide to your broker in order to transfer securities.
