Prayer for the Intercession of Blessed Elisabetta Renzi

Our Mother left us with these words, ” Goodbye, beloved daughters; be generous with the Lord. I carry you all in my heart and bless you . . . we will see each other up there in heaven . . . up there .. . and from up there I will tellyou again to be grateful to the Lord. Let your faithfulness be your thanksgiving, since the more you receive, the more God will ask of you.” With great confidence, we know that from up there she intercedes for us as we live out our yes each day. It is our tradition that in all our communities we pray this prayer to our foundress each day at morning prayer that she may bless our mission.

Lord Jesus Christ, you chose Blessed Elisabetta Renzi
to show the world the joy of knowing, loving, and following you.
Fill my heart with a love as great as hers for all people,
and with an ardent desire to proclaim everywhere the good news
of salvation, so that all may come to know, love, and follow you,
the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Through her intercession,
if it is your will, grant me the special grace that
I humbly ask of you, who live and reign forever. Amen.

Prayer of Mother Elisabetta to Obtain a Spirit of Zeal

O Divine Heart of Jesus, teach me and open to me the
way to touch the hearts of sinners and the hearts of the
children whom I must lead to you.

O Lord, I am consumed with ardent desire to bring these souls
to the refuge of your own loving Heart. But if you do not inflame my own,
if you with your Divine grace do not set my words on fire,
all my labor will be in vain. Grant this, O most kind Heart of Jesus,
for the love that you bear towards the souls you have redeemed.
What did you not do to welcome sinners? Remember the words you
spoke to your servant Mary Margaret Alacoque: that those who love
your Heart would be fishers of men. O most loving Jesus,
with the help of your grace I will always love you.
Give me your great gentleness in warning the children
of dangers to their eternal salvation.

May, mother of mercy, pray for me. My guardian angels and all the saints,
pray that I may be zealous, labor effectively, an be filled with charity,
and that the children entrusted to me many be fervent and may praise
and give thanks to your most loving Heart forever. Amen.

From September 6-September 14, we pray the Novena in preparation of the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows who is the“Special patroness of our Congregation, is the object of our particular devotion, which we carry out with filial love and sacrifice. Her maternity, her living faith in the fulfillment of the most profound mysteries of the redemption, her contemplative silence, her humble, hidden, and constant activity in the simple life of Nazareth an the early Church, should be the basis of our nourishment and spiritual growth.

Virgin most sorrowful,
Pray for us

O Mary, humble servant of Sion, we pray to you. You heard the prophetic voice of Simeon; you accepted the revelation of the sorrowful road of your Son that pierced the depths of your heart like a sword. You experienced immense pain from his rejection by the people. Mary, we pray to you. Obtain for us the gift of understanding the sacrifice of Christ, of following his example as disciples, and of welcoming his salvation.

Hail, Mary full of grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Virgin most sorrowful,
Pray for us.

O Mary, young virginof Israel, fleeing to Egypt with your Son, Jesus, and defending his life against every danger, you endured the weariness of all mothers. Obtain the gifts of hope and strength of those who, like you, are attentive and watchful over the birth and growth of future generations, for those who are guardians of the designs of God for the future of the world.

O Mary, faithful woman, you rejoiced greatly in the presence of your Son at the Passover feast of your people, but grieved at his unexpected disappearance. Grant the gift of a constant search in faith for your Son to those who are restless because of doubt, and, to us, grant the joy of being found again when we are lost.

O Mary, humble handmaid of the Lord, you were enraptured by the blessedness your Son promised to those who fulfill the will of the Father. Help us to be docile to the will of God for us, and to accept the cross in our lives with the same love with which you accepted and bore it.

O Mary, sorrowful Mother of the Lord, you have given us a wonderful example of love and strength near the cross. Teach us to love and be generously present to all who suffer. Grant that we may receive you in our home like a mother and learn through your example a new way of accepting the inevitable sufferings of life.

O Mary, woman of invincible hope, you believed in your Son’s proclamation of glorious immortality for the world. In the hour of our death, guide us on the road that leads to the certainly of immortality and the glory of eternal life.

O Mary, your grief at the tomb was the seed of an eternal fecundity. But you became also a faithful witness to the resurrection when, “at the first light of the day after the Sabbath.” you received the joyful news of the resurrection. Grant that we also may always walk with you, and bring forth the fruits of a good life.

Let us Pray, O Lord Jesus Christ, may the Blessed Virgin Mary you Mother, whose soul was pierced by the sword of sorrow at your passion, implore your mercy fo us now and at the hour of our death. You, who live and reign forever and ever, Amen.

Let us pray to the Lord Jesus Christ, who willed to be born of the Virgin Mary, and say:
Lord hear our prayer.

O Son of the Living God, through your passion you brought salvation to the world, and through merits preserved your mother from all sin.
Grant that our lives may be irreproachable in sight of our heavenly Father, so that we may share with you the glory of heaven.

O Redeemer of all mankind, you chose for your dwelling the womb of the Virgin Mary.
Take possession of us through the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, so that we may become meeting places of the human and the divine.

O you who illumine minds and hearts, you enabled Mary your mother to understand and meditate on your words and works.
Grant that we may always listen to your word, so that we can conform our whole being to it.

O Savior of the world, you associated Mary your Mother with yourself in the work of redemption.
Grant that we may not draw back in the face of trials, but may fulfill, with courage and fidelity, what is lacking in your passion.

O King of kings, you glorified your Mother, enthroning her near you in the splendor of the life that has no sunset.
Give all those who die in your name the enjoyment of the dawn of resurrection.

Let us pray, Father you prepared the Virgin Mary to be the worthy mother of your Son.
You let her share beforehand in the salvation Christ would bring by his death,
and kept her sinless from the first moment of her conception. Help us by her prayers
to live in your presence without sin. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ,
your Son, who lives and reigns wit you and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever. Amen.

Novena in Preparation for Christmas >

The sisters pray the novena in community from December 16-December 24 in preparation for the birth of the Christ child. We dispose ourselves to receive the coming Lord. With great desire, with joy full of hope, with a heart that is free and capable of love.

Reading: Isaiah 35: 1-10

The desert and the parched land will exult; the steppe will rejoice and bloom. They will bloom with abundant flowers, and rejoice with joyful song. The glory of Lebanon will be given to them, the splendor of Carmel and Sharon; They will see the glory of the LORD, the splendor of our God. Strengthen the hands that are feeble, make firm the knees that are weak, Say to those whose hearts are frightened: Be strong, fear not! Here is your God, he comes with vindication; With divine recompense he comes to save you. Then will the eyes of the blind be opened, the ears of the deaf be cleared; Then will the lame leap like a stag, then the tongue of the dumb will sing. Reading: Luke 3: 1-18

In the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, when Pontius Pilate was governor of Judea, and Herod was tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of the region of Ituraea and Trachonitis, and Lysanias was tetrarch of Abilene, during the high priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas, the word of God came to John the son of Zechariah in the desert. He went throughout (the) whole region of the Jordan, proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins,as it is written in the book of the words of the prophet Isaiah: “A voice of one crying out in the desert: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord, make straight his paths. Every valley shall be filled and every mountain and hill shall be made low. The winding roads shall be made straight, and the rough ways made smooth,and all flesh shall see the salvation of God.’”He said to the crowds who came out to be baptized by him, “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? Produce good fruits as evidence of your repentance; and do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father,’ for I tell you, God can raise up children to Abraham from these stones.Even now the ax lies at the root of the trees. Therefore every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.”And the crowds asked him, “What then should we do?” He said to them in reply, “Whoever has two cloaks should share with the person who has none. And whoever has food should do likewise.”Even tax collectors came to be baptized and they said to him, “Teacher, what should we do?”He answered them, “Stop collecting more than what is prescribed.”Soldiers also asked him, “And what is it that we should do?” He told them, “Do not practice extortion, do not falsely accuse anyone, and be satisfied with your wages.”Now the people were filled with expectation, and all were asking in their hearts whether John might be the Messiah. John answered them all, saying, “I am baptizing you with water, but one mightier than I is coming. I am not worthy to loosen the thongs of his sandals. He will baptize you with the holy Spirit and fire. His winnowing fanis in his hand to clear his threshing floor and to gather the wheat into his barn, but the chaff he will burn with unquenchable fire.” Exhorting them in many other ways, he preached good news to the people.
