Ways To Help
There are many ways you can help the Sisters of Our Lady of Sorrows by taking part in their mission and life though a financial gift. Your generous gift will help support the ministries of the Sisters, the needs of the community, education and formation of the sisters, maintaining the existing buildings, and vocations. The Sisters are very grateful for many of our friends and benefactors for their continued support. May the good Lord continue to bless you.
Formation and Education Fund
This fund was established to provide educational needs of the sisters. Our sisters pursue degrees in specific areas of our apostolate. In addition, our congregation offers on-going formation workshops and conferences geared towards specific areas of consecrated life. Education is necessary to prepare the Sisters of Our Lady of Sorrows in different fields in which they are involved in order to successfully serve the people of God.
Vocation Fund
Vocation ministry is a vital way to help promote vocations in our Church today. Through your support, we are able to continue with our vocations discernment programs that help young women who are discerning a call to religious life. Your contribution will help in fund retreats, printed vocational material given to youth free of charge, sponsored online ads for young women interested in religious life, and vocation camps.
Retirement Fund
This fund was created to provide support and care for the community’s retired and elderly sisters. Our elderly sisters are a gift within our community, they have given selflessly of themselves for many years to the Church and people of God. As our sisters age and can no longer participate in the active ministries of the Congregation, we want to meet their various needs.
Congregation General Fund
The general fund provides for the needs of the missions and long term support for the sisters. This fund was established to support the projects and ministerial initiatives undertaken by the Sisters of Our Lady of Sorrows for which we do not receive any income. Please know that we are very grateful for your continued support. We pray for all our benefactors and supporters in a very special way.
Facilities and Maintenance Fund
This fund provides the maintenance,repairs and upkeep of the convents and other buildings in which the sisters live and carry out their ministries.
Unrestricted Funds
Unrestricted donations give us the flexibility to take care of our communities unforeseen expenses which may include: emergencies, current needs and projects, and other pressing needs. With your continued support, we are able to help those we serve encounter Christ. We are very grateful for our friends and benefactors who help us make a difference in our brothers and sisters lives.
