Community Novenas

Novenas are meant to help us prepare for important feast days in  the life of the Church and our life as Sisters of Our Lady of Sorrows.  These prayers gives us an opportunity to make a spiritual pilgrimage filled with grace, preparation, and purification.  We gain spiritual strength as we implore our good Lord to grant us special favors.  Our Mother Foundress, Blessed Elisabetta Renzi left us a treasure of devotions to help us as we live out our religious consecration.  We have a special devotion to Our Lady of Sorrows who is the Patroness of our Congregation.  In our communities, we prepare for the birth of the Christ child with a Christmas novena that helps us to dispose ourselves to receive the coming Lord with great desire and a heart that is free and capable of love.
